It’s not children
Playing dress up and
Making rules up for
Clubs or ridiculing
People from “outside”.
It’s not children
Fighting over dirt and
Keeling over dead from
Monsters with weapons
Playing killing games.
I’m with the children,
I watch the strangers and giggle.
Written for dVerse. Word prompt: giggle. Form: Quadrille (44 words)
Very dark and dangerous games some adults play without thinking of the children. Very thought-provoking poem. ❤

I like the games children play way better than the ones adults engage in sometimes. Giggles can’t change life, but it can change us a little bit. Thanks for changing me just a little bit 🙂

Adults do stupid things. I hope giggling helps.

Sometimes it’s almost bewilderment instead of giggling I suppose.

Oh for the innocence of children – may it infect us as if a storm.
